Recruitment process for posts of responsibility

Further to discussions between management bodies, teacher unions and the Department in relation to the process for the recruitment and appointment to posts of responsibilities, please find copied below a link to the agreed text regarding the implementation of Circular 29/2024. This note confirms that the recruitment process for posts that fall vacant on or after the 1st September under Circular 29/2024 can commence prior to the end of the previous school year i.e. if a post of responsibility will be vacant in your school next September, the recruitment process may begin before the summer.
The Department are currently finalising an Information Note which will shortly be published on their website alongside the agreed text.
