Revised Sick Leave Arrangements for Teachers and SNAs

The DES has confirmed that the revised sick leave arrangements for teachers and SNAs will come into effect from 01 September 2014. The DES has placed the note below onto OLCS on 02/12/2013 in this regard.

“On 19 July 2012, the Labour Court made a recommendation in relation to sick leave arrangements in the public service. The Department wishes to inform School Management Bodies that the revised sick leave entitlements for teachers and special needs assistants will take effect from 1 September 2014 and will be incorporated into a consolidated sick leave circular which will be issued before that date.”
