6th December 2013 | News

CPSMA welcomes the Department of Education and Skills (DES) announcement of additional SNA positions for both the 13/14 and the 14/15 school years. The cap on the number of special needs assistants (SNAs) has been increased by 390. This will bring to almost 11,000 the number of SNA posts available to work with children who have an assessed need for an SNA.

Boards of Management are reminded of the requirement to conduct any recruitment campaign for SNAs in line with the terms of DES Circular 0037/2013 and Appendix E of the Constitution of Boards and Rules of Procedure. Click on the link below to download ciruclar 0037/2013.
