CPSMA condemns cuts in Special Education Resources

20th June 2013 | News

CPSMA condemns the cuts in resources for pupils with special education needs (SEN) announced by the NCSE.  The resources announced today for pupils with SEN are further reduced by 10% following a 10% reduction in 2011 and a further 5% reduction in 2012.  This brings to 25% the reduction in resources in relation to resources that were available to pupils with SEN in 2011. The reduction in the allocations to pupils with SEN of 25% over the past few years will impact negatively on those pupils who are the most vulnerable in our schools.
